My name is Julia Espinal and this is my sophomore year at Cortland. I am a psychology major. For the spring semester I have unfortunately opted to stay home. I was born and raised in Throggs Neck, but I currently reside in Pelham Bay, which is another area in The Bronx. With that being said, I look forward to this semester and learning more about multicultural literature.

Hi my name is Scott and I am a Comunication Studies major at Suny Cortland. I am from a small little town called Newfield NY which is right outside of Ithaca. I transfered to Suny Cortland last spring after graduating from community college. I am majoring in Communication Studies to get a job in either Sports Broadcasting or Sports journalism. Something I am hopping to work on is becoming more confodent in social interactions .

Hi everyone! My name is Alaina and I am an English major here at SUNY Cortland. I am so excited for this class and to get to know everyone. Some things that I absolutely love to do in my free time are read and have Harry Potter movie marathons with my sister. I also love to swim, sing, and exercise. I really hope that in my future I will be able to travel more because that is another thing I love to do. My top travel destination would have to be South Africa. Some things that I would really love to explore in this class is how COVID could maybe affect things such as race, gender, and ethnicity that are the topics for this class. I would also like to learn more about these topics and how they affect people on a daily basis and also just to educate myself further on these topics.

I am currently a freshman here at cortland and am majoring in Adolescent education in English. I am from Long Island, New York. When Im not at cortland I work as a lifeguard at my town pool. I am looking forward to this semester!

I am from Nassau County in Long Island. I am a freshman majoring in Early/Childhood Education. When I was younger I loved writing and making stories, and I also had a passion for music. I combined those two things and started to write songs. Recently I have not found any books that have sparked my interest, so I am hoping in this course I will get a better understanding of the things that I do or don’t like and hopefully fall in love with reading again!
